Hi guys,

My gauge in my 94 UK manual TT seems to go to the half way position when I start her up. But I noticed the other day after an hour or so driving it was registering nearly zero. Checked oil all seems ok, in fact I check it about 2 times a week now as I am not sure what is happening. No unusual sounds , no oil on drive, no smoke. Confused.com............

Hi Barry, as Paul said, a common problem, the oil pressure switch gets clogged, you could either fit an aftermarket gauge or replace the oil pressure switch, the switch is about £70

mine does exactly the same, going to route the stock dash gauge sender to my sandwich plate, where i already have a aftermarket pillar oil gauge and this reads perfectly.
