Hey all,

Quick Q, Was sitting in the Z last night, Sobbing heavily at still not having fixed her after 6 months now. Well i was tinkering with a few things and noticed when you switch the ignition to Accesory mode(the last setting before ignition) , the boost guage needle reads abot 2psi, which is the same as the absolute peak boost im gettin at the momment :o((

I was just wondering what the normal reading for this is. Probably a calibration error in the boost guage somewhere, however it seems a little strange, probably just coincidence i guess.

Cheers

Just nipped out to check mine (after a successful MOT pass, woohoo!)

Mine reads "0" on both stock boost gauge & AVC-R display.

You any nearer to getting the Z back on the road?

Dave

Cheers for the info Dave, something is amiss here somewhere i think. Maybe it is time i got a new boost guage and checked the reading on there.

Congrats on the MOT pass :o)

Im working on her a lot now, but still dont have the money to make the big plunge, since i splashed out on Steves B&B im very skint till the end of next month. If only my Credit Card company weren't such Bastards, Say Dave you dont know any one at Barclaycard do ya ;o)

mine does the same as yours Nico, i think it's just a little calibration issue.

i also realised today, as i was sitting next to a lorry in traffic, that some lorries have their turbos within very very easy reach....

so with a little night time escapades and a balaclava you could be the proud owner of a couple of used, seriously big turbos...

but then, you'd only complain about the lag wouldn't you.. :)

he he

Cheers Craig,

Top idea, Scania Turbos on a Z that could be interesting.

Now where did i leave my Jimmy bar and Swag bag :o)

Funny you should mention 'Barclaycard' Nico- as luck may have it, the next office block to mine is Barclaycard.

I'll see if I can gain some 'influence' in there for yer!

Dave

How about just getting another Credit Card. This should also allow you to save money from the ridiculous interest rate that barclaycard charge! LOL

Nice one, Dave Get on the case there :o))

I would try another Credit card but since my credit rating is probably lower than Nick Leesom it is probably a waste of time.

Oh the sadness of sepending too long at University :o((
