Featured Replies

new temp valve, new cam belt, new tensioners / water pump / pulleys, new rear and front crank oil seal, new aux belts, water by pass, egr delete, new pipes.

Basically anything that looks like its going to be a pain in the ass to sort out at a later date with the engine back in. -

its had a new timing belt, aux + tensioners, dont fancie oil seals as its a low millage clean engine

water bypass?

egr delete?

this interests me, but why do i want to do these things? :S

Have a look at the search mate the water bypass was posted by JeffTT iirc lots of info on there plus the egr delete is on there too but this will clear up alot of pipework and hoses that are not needed

Water bypass on the upper plenum, so if you have a water leak on one of your pipes, its a lot easier to sort out at a later date, plus the added benefit of new tubing.

EGR delete, same thing, these can fail and when they do its a engine out job as its located right at the back of the engine, will also make getting the dreaded knock sensor slightly easier as the EGR sits in front of it.

There are a few threads up about it
