I took my housings off and re-sprayed the inside silver (was looking a bit faded), with a nice new set of LED bulbs... very bright...lol....:)

more to the point, how did you get the housing apart. i had a look the other day as i was toying with the idea of modding a 99spec look. but couldn't get them apart as i didn't want to break the plastic around the small clippy type things holding them together.

Where did you source the LED bulbs?

ebay…. Did a search on “led white fog” they should be 1156’s

when you say housing, I assume you’re talking about the housing for the centre section with the reverse lights in it…

there are two pods (one either side) that hold the bulbs, these come off (one screw)..

lol just read that again. obviously wasn't paying any attention what so ever yesterday. my replay was for the break light and indicator cluster.

LOL... not too hard just takes patience and time.....

there is a guide somewhere on here.... there is a little screw in the middle you have to remove.

then heat them up in an oven at about 75 - 100 C for about 5 min (face up), take them out use flat head screwdrivers pry the clips a bit, then start at one end, try not to twist against the front lens too much (it will dent and remove paint), you may have to put them back in the oven a few times, eventually they will come apart...

they sell them on a US site if you want to wait for them.....

I used ceiling light diffuser... 2 foot square, cost about a fiver from an electrical wholesaler..

be care full when cutting it as it will crack if you do it too fast and hard....lol...

I used half a hacksaw blade taped up on one end as a handle but you can get the purpose handles for them.

I also glued/siliconed the diffuser into place so that it sat nice against the lens and didn't rattle about.

I also sprayed the insides silver and did both indicator and break ... not too sure about it yet, will decide when they're on the car.

got led's and resistors to fit as well.

You got any pics of your centre section mate? - thinking of doing something similar with mine, would like to see what it will look like. cheers

See what I can do... already on the car, so pics of the car with the reverse lights on... is that what you're after?

Will be back home on Wednesday and can take some pics then....

just the panel, I want to see the effect the silver has had on the appearance, not the lights. But, you can put a picture up of your lights too! - as I know you wanna! :D

cheers mate

Same here :)

To enhance the reverse light and the fog light, I used silver speed tape on the backings, and then the LED bulbs.

Also borrowed the diffuser panels from the works old kitchen to make up my rear lights !! Worked a treat !
