No warning lights. Nothing. The engine is runnig but when I press the accel. I get missfire and the car won't gain speed. I try to start the car two weeks ago but the battery was flat. Now I've bought a battery, the car started but I got this... The car was perfect last time I drove it.

To it sounds like the sparkplugs are soaked! Any quick remedy?

Could also be the maf chap whip it off and give it a clean

Half thank of fuel! Ijust gave it another go and it seems to be fine now... Just a rough idle at the moment! Shall I keep on driving? I think the car was just drowning in petrol... I stinks like petrol....

Do a simple 10 minute diagnostics and it will tell which sensor if any is playing, maf or temp sensor

The car drives fine now... I think the spark plugs were soaked!

Still rough idle!

I just noticed that the water temp gauge was moving all round the clock but now it is fine... Could that be the reason?

Cheers!

The sensor that feeds the gauge won't cause any problems, the sensor next to it which tells the ECU the temps, yes it would effect things, it adds extra fuel to the engine to cool things down.

Thanks for your reply.

I have an aftermarket water temp as well and that one was indicating spot on.

Shall I replace the sensors found on the water pipe at the front of the engine?

Cheers!

Ok. After I gave it some, the car seems to be ok now... Smooth idle as well.

I guess I should drive it more often!

I kinda knew that this is going to happen since I could not started with the flat battery...

It could be water/dampness in your air filter, or induction filter. Give the ol' girl some juice then she will be fine. Plenty of rev's to get her hot!!
