Hi.

Its my for my dad,but with 150bhp+ easy to chip to 180bhp i wouldn't mind one as a 'workmobile' .

Anyone got any experience of one?

Know owt about them?

were looking at around 1999 cars. They do look good + ebay isnt full of 'just needs this that and the other' cars.

Cheers all :tank:

I have heard that the engine is bullet proof if the oil gets changed often, so try and get one with history.

Might be worth finding out if they can run on veg oil or bio, you can save a fortune ;)

hmmn.

Can anyone smell chips? was what the bird said everytime we went out in the old ducato.

who cares when you drive past the petrol station selling diesel for near £1.20 ;)

I know a fella with one, the quattro model he seems happy with it. Although he did have it remapped and it subsequently required a new clutch. Its done 120k or something so not so bad, but your seemingly cheap remap @ £200 or whatever is suddenly alot different when it needs a £500 clutch!

Heard stories of problems with the cams wearing. Do a google search, there is an Audi forum you should get some info there.

I had one for three years and never missed a beat or failed the mot, just make you follow the service schedule. Mine had 225k when I let it go, only issue was the duel mass flywheel going but after 100k in three yearss thats not bad!

And it has chipped and when like a rocket!
