First of many probs im sure lol

So my n/a auto every so often when selecting reverse it tries to die on me but once i blip the throttle its fine? very annoying as touching the acclerator when trying to squeeze into tight spaces sends it flying !

 

I have it booked in for a trans oil change next week so hoping it might help? any ideas?

 

also any one got a standard exhaust for sale or cheap aftermarket one? mine is blowing and getting worse. aint got loads to spend as i am doing the breaks aswell this month.

    An auto oil change is a good place to start, at least it will eliminate one thing.

    If it dosent, put up any other queries, were here to help

    i assume for whatever reason the idle is too low which is why its trying to stall, start with the oil change first though

    Next time it does it, see if it stalls, could indicate a problem with the anti stall auto boxes have. (i presume the 300zx has some kind of anti stall system)

    so i took it for a good drive today and yesterday and yesterday and when i put it into reverse and did not touch accelerator it just almost died and bounced back up but today it stalled? also noticed today that it was hesitant when slowing right down on a slight hill to overtake a push bike.only for a second but still cant be right?

    What does the box change like through the gears any jump in to any said gear?

     

    and have you looked at the oil?

    yeah checked the oil and its still red in colour, there is a jerk from 1st to second when cold but okay once warm.

    a oil change and cleaning the filter out will help, i'd see how it changes after that

     

    Oh and see oilman for a good oil etc
