My 300 has done this in the past, but not for a long time. Would be good to know what causes this.

Al.

Have you been messing around behind the clocks?? Both my zeds do this, but only after i have messed around changing bulbs or changing the faces to indiglo?

Its something to do with the progressive steering i think, maybee groover will shed some light for us?

Never messed around with the clocks , and the speedo works fine though the trip never has .

speed sender unit on gearbox faulty or dry solder joint to rear of speedo. nearly took out a fuel pump in a filling station when this happend to me. sometimes the speedo went the opposite way right off the clock- made the 4 wheel steer quite amusing at 40mph ! ! !

I suffer a similar but opposite effect about once every month or two. Steering fine nearly all the time but at about 20mph usually going round a roundabout, it goes SUPER-LIGHT for a few seconds - causes front to flick to the right, really hairy!!!

This has happened for 4 or 5 years and still happens even since I've had a gearbox change which also changed speed sensor.
