looks like it could be the alternator loom,

someone correct me if i'm wrong

I think your right bud just did another search and found a few pics :thumbup:

If this is for the alternator is there another seperate loom for the manual box as well ? if there is then mine,s missing :thumbdown:

Thanks

Yeah that is the alternator loom, you can tell by the two small round connectors that you put a screw through to screw onto the back of the alternator (smaller of the arms at the T section with 1 large gray connector that plugs into the alt). then the other end, goes to the gear box (loooong end of the T section thin part of the wire), while the other goes to the front drivers side wing near the headlight (thickest part of the wire with the gray, small black, large black and blue connectors on).

Cheers fellas :clap::clap::clap:

What would we do without this place eh ? :thumbup1:

Boldy, do not bother with changing the alternator loom, you just making more work for yourself. The auto/alternator loom is just fine and takes a few minutes to convert to manual spec, also the engine / ecu loom between auto and manual is the same.

Thanks for the advice Jeff but the loom needs replacing anyway , got one off a member and it,s only 6 months old so no brittle bits:clap::clap:

I,m gonna be fitting manual tubs and a boost controller while i,m at it , will i need a manual ecu ?

Cheers

Not sure if you have changed one of these before, but when i did my engine out job, i found it a lot easier dropping the alternator off the bottom of the car, wiring it all up, and then bunging it back on. was a lot less fiddly getting those two small connections on it.
