you say the oil looked fine, not burnt or dis coloured. How much oil did you put back in the box.

yes oil looked fine a bit browish repalced and ajusted folowing the manual.

now all on level and no leaks

used dextron 3 i would say i used to make it up to level 3.5L - 4L loking at what is left on can

had, an auto years ago- same problem as yours. turned out to be the auto fluid cooler that was partially blocked and had starved the box. the cooler is located on side of radiator in same housing. cost me a rebuild box and larger oil cooler. ouch ! hope yours is not as serious. ( standard cooler for auto trans oil is pretty bad and well known for failing after time )

check pipe and gearbox cooler and flushed it all good it was not blooked but still the same no 3rd gear or 4th gear,

that gearbox would be great jsut that im in london and gearbox is located in ireland.

any thing else that may be the reason for the problem cant realy afford this bill and i have to go mot this month.:(
