Is it just me or is Friday night tv total sh1te? In my view it has totally slipped down the bog with the above mentioned program.

On the plus side some of the girls in it are pretty hot LOL. Best viewed muted LOL

I was unfortunately subjected to some of that shite last night. If that is the best talent they could muster (from what I saw) then, clucking bell, this country has no chance at all. It reminded me of kareoke or cabaret, not good at all, sooooooooooooo out of tune and pitchy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit, i think TV is getting worse by the month. Especially with all the new reality shows. Pop star to Opera star? and my personal favourate, "Dancing on Wheels". That show i'm afraid makes a mockery of the disabled and i find it quite offensive to watch. Disabled people should be treated with respect. Yeah, they have the right to show that they are just as capable of doing the same as everyone else but in my opinion, dancing is just something that shouldn't be attempted.

It seems to be that the TV people think that we are a load of idiots that prefer to watch "car crash TV", cheap and nasty crap.......

About time they got rid of the TV licence and all its overheads and just took it off our tax like other grown up countries do.

Oh, and definitely get rid of some of this junk they insist on shoving down our necks...lol...

^ all correct. singing and dancing programmes are six-a-penny nowadays and i get sick of them. theyre easy to make, require absolutely no thought whatsoever (get some D-list celebrities or lie to some poor wannabe members of the public saying it'll change their lives), the formats are all nearly identical (line the punters up, spend hours telling us about their dreams, how much winning this program means to them, and how they were born for this moment, shove them in front of a four-judge panel with the obligatory miserable one that always slags the dancing/singing off - viewers spend money thinking theyre voting people to get through to the next round when it's probably fixed).

I remember when Saturday evening TV was A-Team/Knight Rider, Beadle's About, Noel's House Party, Gladiators, etc... all great entertainment (perhaps at the time but you get what I mean!)

I did like that 'The Cube' that was on briefly but sadly seems to have disappeared and I have to admit that Ant & Dec's Push the Button is fun to watch - there's no "stress and tears", it's just a light-hearted and entertaining game show that gets on with it and doesn't have any stupid video diaries of contestant's entire lives and how winning £10k would change their lives forever and help them build a conservatory or something.

...I seem to have gone on a bit...

IMHO thats when it started to turn shite, before that they used to have some comedy shows and Saturday night movie's......the game shows started off the rot, cheap and easy to make, now thats about all you get.

Then again I am old and remembering back to when there were only 3 stations and no such thing as a video recorder or dvd player.

Times have changed you can now watch what you want when you want, I gave up with tv years ago, I rarely watch it now and if I do its usually the discovery channels
