Windscreen removal

Yep it's me again with another strange one, but does anyone near me do windscreen removal?

I have found a very good guide writen by someone in the industry and although I feel confident enough to get the old glass out with out damaging it, it's doing the job properly enough when putting glass back in to make sure it doesn't leak and doesn't fall out 6 months down the line that I'm a bit concerned about.

the service manual tells you how to remove and fit a windscreen. Should be a fitter near you that can put it back in for you if you're worried.

A mate of mine who works for autoglass cracked mine when taking it out with all the top gear. I would say have a do yourself bud as glass firms don't favor it staying intact.

Just to mention that this hAppened last night getting a price for a new screen today. :death:

Tell him to shop around autoglass charge an extortionate rate of £700, £400 of that is window trim that you can remove your self carefully so as not to break the clips, I have found a place that will do it with supplied glass for a lot less than £700
