Has anyone noticed lately that there is hardly anything for sale on ebay compared to what there used to be?

 

Not just car stuff but everything..

 

Like camping mats, this time last year there would be 100's now there is hardly anything, same with other things. When i was listing some my car parts there wasnt much other stuff availible.

 

 

Well i wonder why?? This is why i guess...

 

 

I sold something on ebay for about £200 Ebay and paypal took off me about £28 for the sale of that item. £28 off £200 is crazy!! They have put their fees up and relists have now changed also.

 

Keeping in mind ebay and paypal are the same company it is criminal.

 

 

So... ebay charges you to list it, then a relist if it doesnt sell.

 

They then take money off for any extras, buy it now, highlight, start time, extra pics etc. etc.

 

Then when it sells they take a fee off afterwards

 

And once the money has gone through paypal take another percentage. omg!!

 

 

 

Thing which is really annoying they restrict how much you can put for postage, ok some people used to take the mic but some items are very different to what other people are selling which are similar and weight allot more so cost more to post. They don't take into account packaging also, some stuff had to go in Jiffy bags and bubble wrap which needs to be bought and them restricting postage does not cover all that and postage.

 

 

I have 100's of records i could sell and things like that, but once the point??? by the time theifbay take their fees and percentages the money left is minimul and then is it really worth all the effort taking pics, descriptions and then listing.

 

you can tell there are so many un happy people with ebay down to the lack of stuff on there these days.

i recall smithy saying something similar a couple of years back about ebay...tried the http://www.friday-ad.co.uk/ or http://www.gumtree.com/ ..both popular sites for selling stuff

its all full of tacky junk from HK or taiwan too nowadays :(

what winds me up the most is when you sell somthing and then buyer never gets in contact, you have to re-list again and go through the hassle of getting your final value fee, you dont get your listing fee back though and you cant give the time wasting tw*t a negative feedback yet he still can!!! even after the case is closed!!! how unfair to sellers is that?!?

Wouldn't suprise me if half the people who don't get in contact after the bid is won, are paypal / eBay workers, getting payed to make even more money for them due to the relist fees and other charges

 

they just took £9.95 off for a sale that didn't even go through ebay

e-bay is out of control and taking the piss.

 

We need some quality competition soon to sort them out.

 

They're in the same basket as wheel clampers; thieves!

You're right about e-bay, probably due to the credit crisis , no money to by new so they "do up" or put up with what they've got..

 

He, remember me, had you std wheels at the A11 junction.. quick question, i know you told me about your problems, and only the other week 5th Gear had a problem about improving performance and guess who they picked for it... anyway, quickie, are you totally breaking up that Zed, and what car have you got now, you said what it wouldn't be.. not still in the bmw..
