Whining

Hi

can anyone tell me what possible cause of whining from front nearside of a 1995 lwb N/A just passed MOT with flying colours so ruling out wheel bearing im thinking clutch it only happens when car is cold and seems to increase with the revs cant see anything obvious, any clues would be a help.

    It only wines when gears engaged and moving as soon as car gets warm it stops in neutral nothing 1st to 2nd is a little stiff again until warmcannot see anything obvious when on drive and ticking over

    Sounds like gearbox syncro. Drive along and 20-30mph push the clutch pedal down and change from 3rd to 2nd, don't let the clutch up. Does the noise 'speed up' ? Mine does this when cold for a couple of miles.
