I have evo 8 calipers and have been searching for some discs to buy. I have read that people who have had the evo calipers have gone with 350z discs, would the r34 disc fit with these calipers? Would like to fit some big 355mm aswell.

Thanks,

Ant

The Evo calipers require custom mounting brackets to be manufactured to fit them to the Z32 hubs. The Brackets will also be designed to match the disc offset.

The 350z and R34 disc offset is different.

So depends on wether you already have the brackets manufactured and which disc fitment they were manufactured for.

Cheers Legrath. I haven't had the brackets made yet as I was going to wait until I get the discs.

So I could buy either 350z or the R34 disc and have the braket made to fit after?

Thanks,

ant, krsmayo still has the drawings from the machine shop for his evo8 brembos wwhich could save you some work... they were made for 350z discs...

Cheers Joely. Scott has been in touch with Krsmayo and he is going to get the drawings to us to use.

Cheers mate.

my friend said he had another set of porsche 911 calipers, im still waiting to see if they are availabe yet, going through some warranty crap at the mo. basically customers hear a bit of squeeking and want new calipers lol, so they do on warranty lol.

no sh.t any more awayable ?? porker brakes are prob the best of all ..

Like wise! Watched a set from a 996 go on eBay for 280 or so the other day. I'm planning on going the evo brembo route my self at the moment. Anyone with hints and tips fire em over to me as well please :-D I was planning on using the 'drawing' and going with 350z disks.

As an aside to this do rear gtr brembos fit straight on or do they require muchos messing with?

I may, ( i cannot guarantee anything yet) be able to manufacture some brackets for the evo caliper and 350z brake set-up if anyone is interested. There will be a price for the material, welding and manufacture. They would be manufactured from mild steel and cadmium plated, with the plate and boss "tig welded". As i have have said, i cannot guarantee this, but i will know more in approx 2-3 weeks, and will post here to let you all know.

(It will be the same design and dimensions as krsmayo's bracket)

Al.

Put me down for a set or two! I've a friend whos after doing a similar thing as well. Let me know about costs etc :)
