hi guys

just wanting 2 no if anybodys got a second hand maf? and wot the problem is if not that? feels like clutch slip, but mechancal friend doesnt seem 2 think so plus she hasnt been started in a while so wondering wot else could b cause? she wont go flat out over 2500 rpm even mayb less? plus oil guage reading between 0 and first mark when started, but all ok when shes warmed up and hopeing not the turbos!!! shes a 1990 jap manuel any answers cheers tom:crying::crying:

certainly sounds like MAF. If it was turbos then engine would still rev above that point.

Could just be damp in the maf, mine did this when it had been stood for a few months outside.

 

i tryed cleaning it but its bin sitting in my garage 4 the past year mate i think its had its day? can u take the metal guaze off 2 clean or is it a sealed unit? cheers

If you taake either end of the gauze off, remove the end opposite to the filter side.

Brake cleaner or similar and maybe use cotton wool bud/stick.

hey bud i took smithys advice cleaned out the maf running fine but looks like i need a clutch now bud thanks any how mate much appreciated :thumbup:

just found another problem hope its nothing major!!!!

when i rev my 300zx the sard bov the presure comes out on the drivers side but not the passenger side any clues??? cheers guys
