I can't see the attraction of the 99 lights myself, think they look a bit tacky, so my vote would be leave them as they are!

Can never make my mind up if I like the Genuine 99 headlights or not......so spending about 1k on them would be a No from me.

I know where you are comming from guys

Thanks for the votes and keep them comming

No - not a particular improvement over stock and certainly not worth the money. IMO

I should of said if the money dosnt matter lol!!!

This looks a bit one sided :lol:

Leave the lights as they are bud..99s would look odd due to the shade of them whereas the shade of the stock goes perfect with the rest of your car overall...

Still don't think i'd bother

That was just what i thinking :smartass:

I voted `no leave it alone`!! Because I have, and Love the difference it made to my car`s, But mine are the stock lights chromed, I find the 99 spec`s a little fussy.

It`s possible to chrome the lights without taking the bumper off, just remove the metal clips from around the lights, heat the glue shit up with a hairdryer and carefully seperate, its fiddly but easily done.

Chrome them and if you dont like, paint them back again!!! easy

Daz.

I think on a black car stock looks best - adds to the whole smoothness of the car

No need to remove bumper to remove headlights.

I dont want to chrome stock ones.

So i might paint inside them gloss black with the silver thing like the other thread.

Or buy 2 brand new stock ones :1eye:

You dont need to remove the headlights

It was hard enough to get them out with the bumper off. Give me the plenum job any day

No don't do it, black all the way through looks very menacing.

Thats what I mean - It makes very little to no difference having the bumper on/off.

The problem bolt is the one on the inside rear, accessed via the nose panel area. Have never removed bumper to remove headlights, other than Z's that already had the bumper off for other reasons.

You dont need to take the whole light unit out, just the glass part from the top :thumbup1:

I know that now :hammer:

the front end had been striped off the past 3 months and im missing her :crying:

Look fine as they are. Just PLEASE DON'T chrome them. Chromed stock headlights don't look right.

I've gone for "leave it alone!"

I like the real 1999-spec HIDs but I'm not too keen on the chromed inserts on dark coloured cars. Yes, the chromed inserts can give an "updated" appearance to the front end; but the front end is one of the Z32's best features. I reckon it looks good as it is....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
