lol thats only what i plucked from a search that was all them years ago when new though, so rolling road is the key for accurate current figures

Ie mine is quoted @ 228-230bhp it's probably more like 216 to the fly now though if i'm lucky i reckon :)

Nissan advertised Figures :

UK TT Manual - 276bhp , 274 Ib/ft

UK TT Auto - 263bhp

JAP TT Manual - 280 bhp , 286 Ib/ft

JAP TT Auto - 280 bhp (not advertised to be any different than Manual)

U.S TT Manual - 300bhp, 283 Ib/ft

U.S TT Auto - 280bhp

What actually makes the difference on the U.S ones then ?

Well, There is the Japanese "Gentlemans agreement" about manufactures limiting the power output of their cars to 280ps (276bhp) at the time....but its been well proven that for other manufacturers and models that actual output was higher than stated......so its very likely that power output is not lower than the U.S Market stated output.

However each market has Specifics that could suggestr both higher and lower power output!

Region specific changes that would affect power :

- Uk cars have an extra catalytic convertor (precat) on the Passenger side Downpipe

- Jap cars have restrictors in the exhaust just after the Cats

- Jap market has the highest octane in fuels, and different ECU Mapping

- UK market has lower octane rating fuel, and different ECU Mapping

- US Market has lowest octane rating fuel available, and different ECU Mapping

Not all UK cars have the pre-cat....

I know mine doesn't any more, it did have.
