the 300zx is surely a classic now not only in years but complete driving experience,as parts seem to get more expensive and labour costs more it still baffles me why the cars arent going up in price the odd few with thousands spent im not saying but we have all spent probably a few grand fixing them does anyone think our great car will become worth something one day?

maybe not for a while , you can get classic insurrance for it so i guess it anit far away

I think that they have gone up a bit, but not much. This i think was purely down to it not being wothwhile importing them anymore, however that appears to have changed and there seem to be several companies on Ebay advertising 'fresh inports' of 300's, mostly non turbo ones, obviously because they are a lot cheaper to buy in Japan. Also I think that they are more widely known about now which has probably raised the 'desire' rating.The cost of ownership is always going to keep prices depressed tho' so don't get excited just yet.

I think the insurance group and running costs put people off, so the demand for such a car in this economic climate, is limited. You need to be a car enthusiast or petrol head to even consider a zed.

Labour of love for me, i will always have a zed in my life. So im not too fussed about worth at the end of the day, it will never be worth what you spend on it anyway, so why give someone else the benefit.

The price of decent ones remain somewhat stable and may go up slightly, but overall, there are so many sheds/badly modified ones still out there, that until these vanish and what's left becomes scarce, the aren't really going to get recognised as a retro classic.
