Hi there, just wondering if anyone can offer up any advice before i get my car looked at tomorrow.
I have a jap spec auto tt.
I was joining a juction at 40mph and when i accelerated to merge, my engine revved higher and higher as my speed dropped, i then coasted to a stop at the side of the road.
Once i was stationary i tried selecting each of the gears individually, inc reverse, and nothing, none of the usual pulls when a gear is selected, the engine just revs.
One thing i will mention incase it is relevant is that my car has always had a dodgy speedo, which drops to zero whenever it feels like it, at which point the power steering no longer works. It comes back on once i get down to about 20mph, and steering returns. As far as i know i have the oem jap clocks with a speedo convertor cable to convert from kmph.
Other than that, ive had no problems, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
