Gave the car a polish yesterday and needed some new photos for my rides section, so i thought i'd post some.

 

Got these skirts nice and cheap from CarMad i think they set it off nicely, need to pull my finger out and do the rear bumper to match.

 

I've replaced the tweed interior and the seats, and i think she's looking lovely.

 

Only a few more bits to go, like a nice front bumper and some nice 18" wheels.

Keep the front bumper, just get a Stillen extension for it. Most after market complete bumpers look pap IMO.

I was thinking bout one of these, or maybe a scarab, I quite like the big air intake.

I like you prefer things subtle Si, but i do think that a slightly more aggressive front is needed.

 

you got any pics of what the standard bumper looks like with the lip you talking about?

Awesome bumpers!!!! get rid of those horrid stock ones!! IMO And get rid of those horrid fog lights, they look like something from a Ford Cortina :laugh:

Yes, which is why I think the Stillen extension will look more aggressive. The thing with the Scarab type bumpers, unless you're going to smooth the skirts into the bodywork, it simply won't match the rest of the car. Now, that is part opinion, but also part fact. You've got a natural groove the runs round the car. When fitting these types of bumper, the designer didn't really take this into consideration and deleted it. So it doesn't fit with the rest of the car. It suddenly disappears. Makes the car look miss matched and awkward. There's no way around it unless you're going to smooth the skirts into the car.

 

GT-Z extension IMO will be the version that will match your skirts.

 

Looks ok, and your right it does continue the lines but i do like the idea of a big grinning bumper.

I won't lie to you Dave, it's still in the box - not even opened it yet - been a bit busy to be honest. I will get round to it soon as i love the skirts, and i'm sure i will love the bumper too. i just need to get some more sealant, and a new drill bit and i'm good to go.
