Thats the only ones I can get locally and I'm just a little bit on the wrong side of BALD!

Cheers

John,

Try ATS, I was having a nice set of Pirelli P7000's put on my Merc Cossie last weekend and when I was paying for them I asked if they had a price for Bridgestone S02 PP's.

Thinking, this should be a laugh, but hey, shock...horror...they can get them!!! 171 squid minus 10 percent if you is an AA member. Top banana, me thinks I will be continuing my respected relationship with my friends at ATS in Bangor.

Micheldever do mail order and they seem very cheap. You could get them fitted locally.

John

I put Continental 265/35 18s on the back of mine - seem good even in the wet. Can only compare them with bald Falkens though.

Everyone on here seems to vote Bridgestone so2 though.

i dont know weather it is true but i was going to buy some conys and i had a look around on the net and found some bad reports but this could be a load od rubish this is just what i read

Hi

I've just had new Continentals put on front and rear. The previuos owner had put on retreads which were F*****D beyond hope, and he also had the wrong size on the front.

I cant belive the difference these tyres have made, I used to think the Z was uncontrolable in the wet but now I see for the first time what the Z can really do

I'm a happy Z man

John,

Hope your tyres work out, just for info here's my experience of tyres for the past year.

I have now got BFgoodrich Profiler tyres on rear, cost £200 all in. You also get the BFgoodrich guarantee on punctures and other defects.

Compared to my Khumos, which I had on before the BF's, grip is a lot better in the wet, dry is pretty good as well.

The BF's don't look as good as regards to how flat against the wheel rim compared to the Khumos but the grip makes up for that. Khumos were about £180 a pair at the time from ATS.

See ya

I ran my rear Khumos down to the fabric, they held out but I don't recommend it.

I MUST SAY THAT THE BFG'S ARE THE DOGS BALLS. I AM NOT ONLY SAYING THAT BECAUSE I GET THEM FREE, BUT WHEN I DO HAVE TO PAY FOR TYRES, THEY ARE THE ONES THAT I GET. WET AND DRY GRIP IS VERY VERY GOOD.

I've got 4 Conti Sport Contacts on mine now and I am impressed with them - good traction in the wet - good feel for the road thru the steering wheel - I can feel the grip of the wheels in the wet - very progressive on the sliding front. Stunning in the dry and so far - are wearing very well. Put it this way - for themoney they are great - best of both worlds for grip per pound. Yeah you can get grippier tyres, but you'll pay more and they wont last as long. Depends how much money you have to throw at them. Just make sure to match the tyres on each axle!

Bilky,

How much did you pay for the tyres?

You got me interested!!

:o)

hi Matty

I've got the Continental Sports Contacts on mine but I didnt get any change from £540.

They are so far very impressive in the wet and fantastic in the dry.

At the moment they rate 10/10 but lets see how they wear before I start to sing!

Regards

John

John,

Keep me posted!

Mine are not due for a change yet but I want to be prepared.

Cheers!

I had a word with Mike at MJP over the weekend and I'm looking forward to a VERY competitive deal on a set of S02's. I'll let you know.
