As some of you may already know, my son is really into drifting and owns an s14. well on saturday we got up at 3am and drove to norfolk arena for his first drift day. was a great day and of course i had a fair few goes as well. was really suprised at how well he did. by the end of the day, in the dry he could drift the whole track.. especially suprised as he has never really driven a car before apart from an experiance at brands. (he is only just approaching 16). here are some pics from the day:

we both went out in the dry a few times and the wet. both did better on our last runs in the dry. much slower in the wet but more momentum keeping it sideways in the dry :)

This was just turn up and have a go but the instructors there are happy to go out with you and teach you . Norfolk is a great place to start and so is Santa pod. It only costs 40 quid for the whole day at norfolk

Good god that is cheap, we pay 80 per driver, and 50 for another driver! Plus all the petrol there and back!

  • Author

yea its a fair bit of petrol . about 60 quid. so say 100 quid for the day plus tyres.

They are having some trial days at skegness which is close to me, i'm half tempted to convert the zed for a bit of action!

Most important thing about drifting the Zed is cooling mate, they are terrible for it!

  • Author

yep they are running skegness as well. at the same prices :) skegness is not the kind of place to take a zed as the run off area is the wall whereas at norfolk you can spin out all day and hit nothing but cones and mud.
