both sides, how do i 'fit' them properly? presumably i need to remove them and cover the back of the black bits in sealent? but what type? and how exactly do they come out? seems to be a bit of metal in the way??!?!

the qtr glass is bonded in and hence shouldn't be moving :confused1: The trim is removable, it might be that. I took mine off with a cloth and large blade screwdriver. Watch the rubber though as it's stuck to the trim and easy to rip.

the glass on both sides moves freely if i put one hand on one side and one hand on the other i can move it quite alot, this is the reason the rust was so bad on my car apparently.....

best thing to do is get a mate or someone whos knows someone who fits glass.. they'll only chrage £20 and do a good job.. i done it once and the glass literally exploded in my face, but then i might of pulled a bit to hard lol..

those things are bonded in hard, they take a lifetime to remove, its a lot of hard work.

 

I wonder if they had been smashed and replaced in the past perhaps.

there already vertually out, rattle as i drive, actually..... i used to do chip repairs for autoglass many moons ago, i still know a guy who moved into fitting!... ill give him a buzz!!

I reckon you are right there Dave.

they are a real PITA to get out. That bonding is an inch wide in some places
