i couldnt believe it when my tennant told me that he has recieved a £25 cold weather payment, and he has another coming next week

apperently if you are unemployed and its below a certain temp for a certain period of time then the goverment gives you an extra £25 a week for heating

its been freezing and ive been wary about putting the heating on as it gets a bit costly, still had it on but its always at the back of my mind how much im spending, but these lazy ass fookers wont even get out if bed till its after lunch time and they get extra money to keep them warm

can someone tell me again why i bust my ass day in and day out when it seems they get more than me for doing naff all

Hi Allan

Its because you have pride!

I am sure you will do everything in your power not to become like them, whatever circumstance you find youself in, the same as the rest of us, :)

How much do you get?

This year you will get £25 when the average temperature where you live is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days during the period from 1 November to 31 March. Specified Meteorological Office weather stations are used to obtain this information.

Not as straight forward as jobseekers!!! on its own, People should really look into things first before calling others........

so ive got 6 tennants who are on JOBSEEKERS and nothing else and they have recieved it, they are single and live in a bedsit and they recieved it, they are fit for work but wont and they get it, can only go on the horses mouth so to speak

people do deserve it, but these people dont, they are just lazy fookers

maybe you should come and see some of my tennants before commenting, some of them really piss me off

Should fricken get of their ass and get a job.. that would keep the feckers warm. I dont think giving them an extra "henry the eighth" dope payment will do the trick.

Not having a go, as I can imagine the scum that lives there, just pointing out the facts supplied by the goverment.

Get off your high horse, recession has messed up people lives. I went from 45 grand a year job to 96 pound a week for a family of 4 to live on. Im lucky i have the mortgage protected otherwise i would of had no home.

Im hoping to work this month mind as an interview went well, but i tell you jobs around here are few and far between.

these skanky lazy asses have been on the dole long before the recession has started so wind ya neck in mate

dave, im not sure how they have managed it but i filled a housing benefit pack in the other week for one of them and it stated that he was only on jobseekers, unless he filed anything else in but its all istated when it asked about income

Just wondering if your tenants were working would they still rent off you . So maybe you should not be slagging them off, its, they are the ones giving you an income

iff these people are happy living in one room and happy having nothing in there lives except huddled around a 1 bar electric fire while waiting for the next giro then there not mentaly well and we should hold no feelings except pity for em...the ones able to do a days graft then go home to our familys are the lucky ones so putting things into perspective i hold no grudges except pity myself:no:
