My zed has been sitting in on my drive in all weather conditions uncovered and untouched for the last 4 months and hasn;t moved since feb last year, while I've been working on stuff like refurbing a rear subframe brakes etc all ready to get put on it. Anyway, I decided to have a look inside and see if she was ok.

Was a little bit worried on what I would find but after a bit of wd40 in the drivers door I finally got in only to find that it's completely bone dry :thumbup1: not a hint of any water or damp getting in.. I decided to turn her over and it started first time! only to cut out straight away. A quick look in the engine bay reminded me that the apexi was wrapped in two carrier bags and the AFM wasn't plugged in :innocent: oops. Took the bags off and plugged the afm in and with only 9v left in the battery I turned the key and.... started first time! all gauges reading correctly and the volt gauge jumped up to 14  I reversed the car a little bit further up the drive and even the brakes weren't sticking.

The only thing I had done before leaving it for so long was disconnect the neg lead from the battery.

Can't say how chuffed I am with her, I've now fully rediscovered my passion for zeds :punk::punk:

nice one! mine's been sat unused for a mere 3 weeks - covered and on maintenance charge. im going to have a look inside tomorrow and take the handbrake off and make sure everything's ok. i dont plan on even starting her until the ambient temp's gone above zero!

Good news mate!

Once the snow has gone get out and use it, if you can!

Will do but I've still got a lot of work to do including an engine swap :hammer: I'm hoping to have her ready for the summer..
