I'm going to upgrade the front speakers in my Zed as they're a bit crap. I want to get a pair of 6.5inch components, and probably an amp to run them.

 

I don't know much about audio and was hoping someone would be able to recommend me a speaker/amp combo.

 

I also don't know if I'll need an amp or not? (headunit is one of these: http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-ida-x200_p-23163.htm, 4x45w output)

 

I don't want to spend a fortune either! I was hoping that I could do the whole thing for under £120 and I don't mind buying used...

 

I'm looking for as high quality as possible, don't need to be too bass oriented as I'm probably going to get a separate sub in the not-to-distant future!

Wouldnt bother with an amp to be honest, its just one more thing to stuff your sound up if you dont buy the right one and spend some decent money on it.

 

I fitted these in the front and rear of my last 300zx and the sound was very good running off a kenwood head unit

Stick a set of these in without an amp, I think you will be very happy.

Have a set in the front and back of mine with a 10" sub. Not the loudest car in the world but a very nice sounds.

General consensus from everyone that I've asked seems to be that I won't need a separate amp, so now I just need to find a pair of speakers!

i went with rockford fosgate door speakers when i upgraded mine, second time i have had them in doors on diffrent cars and wouldnt touch anything else.
