Pretty basic stuff really if you have a welder. chop saw and small angle cutter.

i will be doing the same job on some 240Z suspension later this year. But I will get mine powder coated when done not rattle canned!

So the strut insert just slips inside the outer tube?????

 

Am I missing something???? because that just isnt going to work unless they are only planning on driving the car on perfectly even roads and at low speeds!

Yep you missed something.........watch again..... see him unscrew the big securing nut that holds the insert in the strut!!

I skipped through a big chunk of it, including the part where they welded in the top section of the strut tube.
