Hi guys recently purchased a decated stainless steel with exhaust to replace my tired one. When I had a look at it, I realised that it did not have anywhere to fit the 2 O2 sensors that are fitted near where the cats used to be in the exhaust. Can anyone tell me if the engine would be affected if these sensors are not fitted.Sorry if this question sounds stupid but I can't figure out why a company would sell these exhaust without provision for these sensors.:detective:

The car wont run correctly without O2 sensors as the ecu won't be able to work out the Air to fuel mix. However, I think you have found the cat temp sensors. Which you don't need anymore.

They are not O2 sensors. They are heat sensors and can be chopped off without any problems.

As said above, the O2 sensors are in the top of the manifold and the cat temp sensors can be done away with.

FYI with O2 sensors disconnected, the ECU will revert to a means setting,

Mine,s been running without O2 sensors for 5 years now and never had a problem , runs like a clock
