As above? How do you tell the difference, or should i say - How would you identify which is which? Would it have any markings etc?

I've checked the search but it only comes up with threads about function and the fact that they seem to shorten the life of your box.

Anybody?

Thanks in advance

Not sure matey, but am sure after the new year celebrations a tech will help you out.

Al.

Is there no part No. on it?

Assume yours is not fitted and is there a reason for wanting to know, might be able to answer better then.

smithy

they do shorten the life of the zed gearbox because it boosts the point of the auto box thats the weak part, oil pressure solenoid if am correct. this is what went on my gearbox and i didnt even have the ALC on.

i do have one somewhere not sure if it the first or second one

Check the link bud - it maintains the line pressure on an auto box which stops the gearbox changing too quickly when lifting foot from gas i think.

meant to make the gearbox feel more responsive and sporty etc, i think.

But apparently puts more stress on old boxes and can shorten the life of your gearbox.

If you do a search there are loads of threads about them.
