for 3500 you can get a tidy 300zx mate so i would be wasting your time no doubt.

then again a car is only worth what somebody is willing to pay.

I'd just like to add the age of these cars is not over relevant....condition is everything.

There might be a really excellent 1990 car and a really shabby 1998 car. With cars of this nature the age is far less important.

I agree and disagree there. The important thing is the date of import and how long it has been on the UK's roads with the salt. There has been some pretty horrible imports on here with bad rust due to being in the UK for some time, so an import recently imported is a good buy, but still needs to be looked over well by someone who knows his Zeds.

But also remember there will be quite a few imports that have been in this country a few years now, but will never have seen a UK salty road or a rainy day (like mine) cos they have been imported to restore and cherish, only driven as hobbies not daily drivers and are better weather protected then when they were new. These are the cars to buy.

A car like Funkysi's for example, I believe is a 1991 car, so one of the early ones. It has been in the country for a few years now, but is one of the best examples around, better than many (probably most!) newer 300zx and this is all down the its owner and how its used.

wise words indeed.....i have imported many cars over, oldest being a 1984 and it was like new underneath, majority of jap imports are rust free underside,if not wax oiled and maintained when arrive in the uk soon find themselves rusting due to the harsh weather we can have..

Cars like the zed are cherished cars in japan too so majority have been well maintained and only driven as weekend cars...

i'm jdm all the way...

IVE DONE IT

had a automatic NA,

dropped the TT engine & gearbox in there, pedal & master/slave cylinders, TT ECU, TT fuel pump,
