Hi all,

I got my first Z 5 weeks ago off ebay for a decent price knowing that it needed a bit of tlc.

Ive been rotary polishing for the past year and the pearl white paint wasnt too bad and i knew i could get it looking nice.

It had coilovers with one shock leaking and worn leather seats.

I actually stumbled across Jeff and Jamie at zedworld who gave me good advice on the shock and even squeezed me in 2 days later to put norm shocks on and a set of seats in good cond and all the boot vinyls and clear lenses.

I am so impressed with the 300s performance it is a truly amazing car.

Anyway the next 5 weeks i set about polishing and Detailing it and a new spoiler and a centre bearing later it was starting to take shape.

That was until last night when 3 joyriders took out my nearside,caving in the pass door and all the rear wing mounting the path and sped off.Well what can i say,well nothing i could write on here anyway.

Damn shame to here i had someone smash my front nearside and then drove off cabed in the front wing its annoying when you put so much effort into your car :(

Yes a lad who felt sorry for me looking at my wrecked car took my number and phoned telling me where the xxxxxxs had dumped the car and the yob had taken the keys from his dad without him knowing and was drunk, i was sat parked at the time, and i have found out a name so who knows, thanks for your concerns guys.

Hi mate, really sorry to hear this mate, had someone drive into the rear passenger side quarter of mine recently leaving a dent and they crack/scraped the paint all the way back to bare metal... they didn't even leave a note with a number... Whole thing has to be resprayed... I'm gutted but it will be looking great!!!

 

Anyhow, hope you get it all sorted bud and I'm sure people on here will off help and advice if they can!!!!

Really sorry to hear about what happened, with the info you have I'm sure the police can make a case of it, or at least the parents will give you a payout to get it sorted.

 

Theres loads of helpful members on here so any questions you have there will always be answers for you :D

Cool, You're not to far from where my Gran lives... I may well taking you up on your polishing offer (why does that sound so wrong)! Good luck finding the bit you need... you can always call Mike at MJP; he can get the parts you'll need and he has a good body shop near him... They mainly work on Classic Lotus so they know what they're doing!!!!!

Gutted for you mate. As said though, if you just need a new wing and door there's plenty available for decent prices.

A very warm welcome i must say.

Update on the scumbags is that the day after it happened i had to go to the station to make a statement.I gave them the reg no and where the other car was parked and the vast damage to it including my pearl paint on it,

Now call me optimistic if you want but i would be straight to the owners door and asking them who was driving the car the previous night.

But alas 10 days later i get a letter asking me to fill out a statement (again) so it seems the police must be too busy catching them dangerous drivers speeding at 48mph in a 40 limit on a dual carriage way.

What comes around is getting closer,much closer.

Either way i am def hooked on the z for longterm so will have it looking like new soon.
