gearbox coversion question

I have recently converted from automatic to manual on my TT. The ECU for the car remains the same. I am wondering whether there will be any problems in removing the automatic box's ecu, the one that sits to the left of the main ECU? Will it casue any problems? Will there be any benefits? Is there any point at all lol?

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Will do nothing at all and will not affect anything, its no longer needed HTH

    Will stop the power light flashing when starting up.

    Thanks for the replies. I have disconnected it and the car seems to idle slightly lower. I am not sure if I am just imagining it lol. I will reconnect it and see if this is the case...
