will change the sig in the next few days. i have some new veilside wheels to go on (11j rears :devil2: and 9j fronts) and might wind the coilovers down a bit on the rear. hopefully the stance will be right with the new wheels :D. if not i may have to use spacers:thumbdown:. also will be having a bit of tyre stretch on the new wheels :D. off to get them refurbed first though.

tyre stretch on an 11j with a really mad offset will look really good.

what offset would an 11j rim need to look right on the rear? and the same for the 9j on the front. think i will stick with the same tyre sizes i have now although tempted to go smaller on the front.

Yassa, I was looking at refurbing my split rims and spoke with Image wheels who originally supplied them. They charge (about £80 if I remeber correctly)per wheel maybe give them a call if this price seems reasonable to you?

H.

Yassa there is a new wheel company in strood who will do them I'm sure. I have a flyer at the workshop.

well what tyre size u going to use on the front and rear? and are you willing to have the rear arches rolled? what are the new wheel offsets?

  • Author

not sure on tyre sizes yet... at the moment i have 235 on the front and 265 on the rear. i think the rears are +36 and the fronts are +36 as well. so im guessing spacers will be neccesary on the front. am probably going to roll the arches :)

yeah u will defo need to role them and maybe add some more negative camber on the rear. the 265's will be a nice stretch in the rear so will prob clear the arch, id have to work it all out but its probbaly doable

if you tell me your current offsets and tyre size i can tell u how much difference there is on the inside and out.

i can already tell u that the 11j wheel will stick out an extra 3mm compared to my rears.

i think i know the offset calculator you are using :). i think my current wheels are 8.5j +32 and 9.5j+35 or the 35 and 32 will be the other way around. archenemy look like they roll the arches a fair amount.
