This goes 4 U 2 Steve...

Really dumb - BUT - when I upgraded my brakes (AP 6Pots & Discs) I didnt stop to think how the hell I was gonna squeeze them behind that pathetic little pram wheel of a spare - that is until today!

So... the Z had a nice little trip home from work on the back of a flat bed today!

CHRIST!

Oh Yeah...

Whats the answer?

Does anyone have an 18" Rim temporary spare with suitable low profile tyre?

Or.. do you use spacers so the wheel clears the brakes? (must work wonders for the steering geometry).

Answers on a postcard to . . .

Mark,

I know this would be difficult to do, but you could put one of the rears on the front as a temporary measure and put the skater on the back just to get you home.

Not sure about a 10" wheel clearance in the front arch though!

Alternatively, quite a few people have said that our discs are big enough to run on ;-)

Very good point ! If anyone gets really bored, can they try to (a) jack up both front and rear wheels using the silly little jack that comes with the car and (b) try running 18"x10" on the front to see if it rubs.

I know for certain that I can't be bothered trying this but I'd love to know !!!
