Had the same here Gonzo, top up the fluid level, should fix it.

good to see you service your car regular! school boy errors can cost a fortune lucky it was only power steering fluid this time.sorry to seem harsh but these cars can cost a lot of money to repair at the best of times without you not checking on fluid levels

Role on mate jumping the gun or what, may be nothing to do with the level. Mate use search for dry solder joints, speed sensor if auto, steering wheel alignment and of course the power steering level.

When NEW to these cars its hard to know whats what but you will soon learn.;)

I agree entirely, it could be a multitude of reasons why its coming on, however.. IF the steering fluid is low and IF topping it up solves the problem then most likely in IS the cause..

You'd be pretty unlucky if it was something else...

But hey..i could be wrong..

Sounds just like the PS Fluid level, when your car has warmed up, the fluid expands and the light goes out, topping it up to the correct level when cold will make the light go out, but you probably have a leak I'm afraid - speaking from experience of the same symptoms.

Top it up, see what happens.

Before you panic remember.... Search button is your friend!

maybe so, but if a person is new to forums he/she may not know how to use such a function, this reply also doesnt give out the right impression of this forum

i would like to add that in future if a thread annoys you that you dont bother replying with a sarky attitude

thanks

Being a mechanic the up keep on my zed is spot on with regular oil changes using millers and had the engine out a couple of months ago to service turbos. As these cars are quite unique with the systems on them i needed and heads up on what is in the hicas system to illuminate the light which is something search can not give. Is advice not what this forum is for???
