To anyone who has had a full body respray, how much did it cost? im trying to get a quote, so a ball park figure of what i should be looking at paying would be most appreciated.

Depends on the garage and quality of there work you could pay £1500 for a crap job or 4k for a fantastic one also depends on type of paint aswell

well looking at keeping the same color, what should i be looking for when scouting out a place?

Usually word of mouth or examples of previous work, Id assume you want something local so go round the garages and ask to see something they have just done in the workshop and look at the quality of the work.

I had mine done and it's been an absolute nightmare! The first 2 bodyshops standard of work turned out to be utter shi**. Thankfully after a recommendation from a few people here, my car ended up with Custom Exotics in Harlow. They ended up sorting my car out nicely and went above and beyond to get things right. Needless to say I wouldn never take my car to anyone else from now on and can't recommend them highly enough if you're looking for honest guys who take pride in the work they do :)

I second that.

The key is if you know a sprayer. I had my supra sprayed 500 quid and was a top job. If you dont know any then prices vary big time as does quaility.

Put it this way, if you see the way they work and the set up they have, I'm sure you'll be impressed with the guys at Custom Exotics. Very nice friendly guys too who let their work do the talking ;)

I paid 2k for mine with front bumper, rear bumper, tailgate skin fitted and sides smoothed out. It was a nightmare! Went back 3 times - the first time they only painted and fitted the bumpers and tailgate skin and tried to charge me 2k!! They hacked out the exchasut ports on the rear bumper and did not bumper to tidy it up and there is slight reaction on the paint on the tailgate skin. Targas and windscreen pilars were left out altogether! My advice would be take it to a custom place and not just a normal shop that really just fit and paint panels and be absolutley clear about what you want! In hindsight i should have told them exactly what i wanted in writing rather than rely on a phone call. Still not turned out too bad- they did do good job on smoothing the sides...IMG_1092.jpg
