HI

just bought a fairlady convertible and was wondering what the two lights are in the same fitting as the front indicators in the front bumper on the outside. (side lights are in the same fitting as the fog lights) bulbs are ok but can't find a switch to turn them on

thanks isobel

Hi , welcome to the club, Try the link below of dashboard layout :) with you having the convertable your dash will be a bit different, but the right hand side of the dash is the switches you need to press!

Get some pics of your vert up!! :)

thanks for that but i've pressed everthing and still cant get them to work.it's as if thier suppose to be side llights but have be disconected

They have been disconected for the uk market , or were never conected in Japan, It is the thing in japan to have US indicators with running lamps in, anything thats not stock is cool over there, Have you got the blue one then?? Hope you didnt pay more than 3K ;)

Ps Chance is there is not even bulbs in the fitting

i did look at the blue one(nice guy nice car by the way) but bought a metalic green one with a lovely cream leather and suede interior

Long way to go!! Thats why I never botherd, nice buy! Need to change the wheels though to finish it off :)

Yeh husband says to put bigger wheels on abit like yours, I like the wheel that already on but I thinking of putting 25mm drm spacers on. what do you think.

if it's a '95 reg or later, they are cornering lights. put your head light on, then indicate, then look at the light on the side you are indicating

Pretty sure you're talking about the turn lights, they illuminate when you indicate.

Mine are only 17s but the whole car is lowered 50mm on the back and 35mm on the front, due to the strosek body kit. You dont really whant to go bigger than 17s or the propotions get out of hand, The Vert is the same size as the swb (short wheel base) I will find some pics of swb with big wheels for you, you will see what i am on about, best bet on taste is a nice 5 spoke with a staggard fitting 17" dia 8.5" front and 10" rear with 235 45 17 front tyre and 265 40 17 rear. lower the car by an inch with Eibach springs and away you go :) Belive me I have been through all this!!

I look forward to seeing the pictures it may give me some ideas. ~What do you think on the spacers?

You should not need spacers if the off set on the wheels is correct, also be careful as you will end up with rubbing on the arch when the spring compresses, pic below of SWB with 19s on

Yes most probably kerb lights, switch your lights and indicators on and see if the same side as the indicator illuminates.

Ahah, welcome to the "Green Meanies" then ;)

as above....they 're the kirb lights they only come on when indicating with the other lamps switched on
