Finding it very hard to locate another tdo5 16g, just looking for other options for 500hp without huge amounts of lag, would a pair of t28's be too laggy

Featured Replies

The gt28rs is a great choice and suited to the 300zx.The gt535s or jwt530 bb is also a very good turbo with very aggressive low down spooling and more than capable of 500hp.

I was thinking 2 standard t28's for now as they are cheap and I need to make manifolds etc then upgrade to t28r with bb core later.

Also found a hks gt3240 this would mean going single but I'm not adversed to that I'm more keen to avoid huge amounts of lag

sorry to hi jack, Anyone know what a good base actuator setting would be for the jwt530bb's? Im fitting gt25r which is similar.....

big single will be laggy and expensive to sort out custom piping/mounting. T28's are probably not really up to the job and will be laggy compared to the GT turbo's.

I'd go 12-15 psi. then you can use boost controller low/high setting to get you to 19 and 24psi

so if it was set to 10psi would this sacrifice higher psi?
