Afternoon,

Can anyone help with where these front bumper brackets go. I've an aftermarket Stillen bumper so do I need them all?

The first ones seem to have been cut at some point which makes me think it might be something to do with having a Stillen bumper fitted. I've got a set off a breaker so you can see what they look like complete

and then there's these which seem to have some plastic/foam attached to them:

I think the ones in the second post sit under the front wings where the bolts go through into the bumper.

I would guess the ones in the last post are for the inner wheel arch guardes.

If you are running your inner arch guardes or a under tray i think a few of them are for that.

But other wise i wouldnt bother. Look how rubbish and flimsy they are, seriously what are they meant to support?

One also may be for the horn, but that is a guess.

you dont really need them if you have a after market one some decent washers will do! can i have dibs on the ones in the 2nd post if you dont use them?:D

dan.:)

They are flimsy and the fact that the ones on my car were cut down and half rusted means they couldn't of being doing that much.

I'm more worried about relaising I need them when the bumpers back on the car :(

the second one,s are from the under side of the buumper where it fit,s on the end of the wings, there designed to pull the bumper and wing together equally and help spread the load as said big washers do the job the first ones go on the side doing the same job but also offer the fixin points for the arch liners

also the ones in the third pics attach to the side ones and then fix to the brackets be-hind the inter-coolers and to be honest throw them away pain in the ar*e and always rust up so if you have to take of again will give you grief

Cheers.

So the ones in the first picture are mainly to give fixings for the arch liner? If that's the case I could quite easily get rid of them and make up some small brackets to hold the liner in place.

The ones in the second pictures have a threaded hole in them, what's that for?

I'd prefer to get rid of the third ones then as they attach to a piece of plastic with foam which I want rid of.
