I had two automated phone calls aledgidley from my bank asking to press any key to continue

(yeh right).So last night I phoned my bank and they were from them.Card fraud department lol. So basically,some coont has tried to top up their mobile with £30 of my money using my bank card number.All sorted now but they have canceled my card as its been compromised.Got to wait for a new one.How the hell they got my number I will never know as I always destroy receipts etc.

Its all those gay porn sites you subscribe to Vinz! You can't trust those guys, they just use you as their suga daddy :rofl: :rofl:

If you buy anything online you could be a target of fraud like that. There are people who 'steal' details from banks too.

 

I had my account cleared out a few months ago by c*nts who'd gotten all my banking details from transactions I'd previously made. Only by way of checking an email to see that my online password had been changed was the first I knew about it.

 

All monies refunded though.

My folks had a 1 night stop-over in London last Spring on a trip to Africa.

I took them to a nice Moroccan restuarant in West London; which they kindly paid for.

 

On their CC statement at the end of that month....

 

$65,000 had been charged over a 2 week period. Mainly at a Tag Heur and Omega Watch shop (multiple visits to same shops).. + about £4K in groceries... probably to feed some extended Mongral family.

 

NOT one phone call from the CC company...

thats a fair amount to take, did they get it back

Credit Card Company CitiBank had a team in India specifically handling the issue. Said that they've been hit really hard in London lately. Dad got the impression that they let it happen to try and track the groups activity?? hell of an expensive tracking exercise..

Parents didn't have to pay a dime.
