Just found these pictures from one of my old Zs... it developed a creaking noise from the from suspension somewhere, I ignored it for a bit but it didn't go away lol. So finally got it on some ramps -see if you can spot the problem :shock:

mine creaks when i go over speed bumps but thats all, is that normal ish, or just need to spray some wd40 on it

Yeah not sure exactly the cause, wasn't particularly rusty but the metal was damn thin! basically it was on the edge of ripping completely through, then the front wheel would have been free to do what it wanted, probably turn in on itself and cause a right mess!

Yes it was common a few years back, quite a few of us had the same problems. It was down to uprated front tension rod bushes. Do a search there was quite a bit of discussion about it

what bushes were you using mate? I've got some whiteline ones to go in, will they be ok?

hmmm must be a strange one, the car was totally standard apart from usual filter, exhaust etc.
