Great polish for black cars.....

After reading this year's Auto Express testing I decided to try "Turtle Wax Platinum Extra Gloss Protection" on my daily driver last Sunday.....

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/234826/car_polish_test.html

I've tried numerous waxes as, being black, the car looks great when clean but shows up dirt and water marks so soon after a bout of bad weather. So as this Turtle Wax product beat the best of the rest in their comparisons I thought I'd give it a go - especially at £10 a bottle!

I must say I was very impressed at the ease of use and even more so at the car's appearance!! Especially after it has rained each day so far; the car still has that "just cleaned" look with no water marks:hyper:

I can highly recommend it - especially to all you folks with black or dark cars! It's not a polish though, more a gloss protector. My car previously had been polished with "Colour Magic" followed by a coat or 2 of Meguairs NXT before Sunday. But I just washed it with the matching shampoo and applied the new stuff..........

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Pics look super. Black is such the best colour when its clean.

I always use AutoGlyn Deep shine. Thats for black cars and also really good. You dont end up with the funny deeper dark swerls ect. You get a nice even finish

Also in the first pic i can see a sprint blue Fiat coupe with a full Zender kit. fantastic motors

Sounds good but as you said Richard its a top coat so you need a good polished coat first but if it keeps your car clean in this weather its well worth a try:)

Yup - that was the idea Gary;)

Now winter is upon us I doubt I'll be washing the cars nearly as much so anything that keeps them looking good for longer is just the ticket!
