2 reasons for doing this,

1) its not a 300zx, its a Fairlady Z. its not the import, not UK.

2) i like the anonymous approach, so not everyone knows what it is.

sorry,

it IS the import, not the UK that should read :slap:

Hi Buddy,

I agree with de-cluttering the busy rear end of the 300 however, what I would suggest is that you gloss up the centre panel to match the lights.

I can see from the picture that it has come out a little dull and will not quite look right.

You could T-Cut it as is or you could put some clear lacquer over and T-Cut later.

Here's a few photos of my rear where I have done similar (any excuse!)

IMHO, the centre panel needs something. It's too plain without it.

You can tell straight away that there's supposed to be something there. If it was meant to be blank, Nissan would've made the lights one panel.

Just because Nissan decided it was a good idea in the eighties does not make it a good look!!! Maybe it's just because you are used to it.

As for "you can tell straight away that there is supposed to be something there" - absolutely not.

My rear end looks factory and less fussy than the original design.

Don't make me put more photos up!!!

Hmmmmmm, forgive me for sounding blunt but how can it look factory when it differs from the factory design?

You're forgiven.

It means that if you where to see a 300 for the first time and see mine from behind, you would not think there was anything missing i.e. the way it would have come out of the factory.

Ok here are some more photos to make my point.

The next thing you will be saying is that a rear wiper is more ascetically pleasing!! (Nissan thought it was a good idea!!)

Take a look at these and ask your self if the average man on the street would think hhhmmm I that rear panel needs 4 reversing lights!!!!!!

bog standard look all the way, looks too "empty" with out anything there, might be different with the big cheese burger Nissan badge

I give up!!

Nissan had another blinding idea when they decided to put 2 marker pen stripes on the inside of the rear lights too. Genius!! But hey, if that's what Nissan thought was good then it must be right. Right?

LOL!

you give up on what?

Vodkashots was only giving his opinion on what he thinks looks better.

A classic case of human nature here me thinks.........not everyone agrees on everything, simples :)

People can give whatever opinions they want as they are entitled to and the chances are you can try as hard as you like but you won't bring them round to your way of thinking if they do not agree. That's ok tho cos we all like different things. Lets chillax a little bit and agree to disagree rather than arguing

Stop being argumentative.
