Colour isnt to everybodys taste but i think its quite nice to be honest. I think i would prefer a convertible around the same price with same mileage so going to keep looking. Not wanting to go much higher price wis as the insurance will be £1750.lol!!!:nelson::mac1:

Dream m3 for me is...........E46 m3 convertible in estroil blue with the 19"M£ wheels or CSL wheels. With sat nav and the works......but they are hard to find cheaper.lol!

I love E46 M3's. I'd have one tomorrow if i had the money!

Surely it'll be hard to come across the vert version at the same price tho??

please not that colour!! there is a guy in newlyn near where i live with a m3 cabriolet in that colour with chrome wheels a blue hood & blue leather & it looks $hite!! so garish who thought of making a lovely looking car & painting it metalic puke colour!! shoot them now! my mate has a black 04 plate m3 cabriolet & that looks mint!

That colour is nice i think. That car is a very nice example. That colour with blue seats is just stupid an mostly no cars suit chrome wheels unless its a hummer.lol!

There is some convertibales going for alittle higher in price but then they have roughly the same mileage.

Going to keep a search on the go for one but that yellow is high up in my list.

Just need to wait on jeff getting prices together for breaking the 300zx up.

LOL, Your insurance company must love you Craig.

Yup.lol.

I think they do as they offer me that any time i change my details i dont have to pay for the paperwork fee.aahaha!! So when i change my car again then change the plate to my private one i wont pay:D A little back for the hugeeeeeeeee amount i would have to pay. But it is the dream car to get an m3 to be honest. After what ive went through with that twat i think i deserve it:D!

There was a Lad who was a member on here a while back, he was 21 and was paying almost 300per month to insure his Zed. :slap:

It's a saloon with 2 doors...

Like every coupe?... LOL :nana2:

Get one mate! Just realised i hadnt replied to your pm... will do it now :) Although i rather think your on a different track now!

Just remember that purchase cost and insurance isnt the only cost, servicing IS expensive, no good getting a back garage to look at them as they are not a simple car to look after.

Take your time looking and ALWAYS buy on condition, not milage. 50k over 8 years of being kicked around back lanes is alot worse than 100k on the motorway sat at 80 in 6th over the same 8 years!

I would try and buy a standard one if you can, and look for the full history, preferably all main dealer but at a push mostly main dealer and a couple of well known specialists. Someone hand writing their own "I changed the oil" etc, is NOT good enough.

Yeah anno they are pritty expensive to run with servicing on top of petrol etc.

But it could be the route to go down i think with getting a modern reliable fast car which will keep me happy until im ready to go for another zed.

That is exactly what I wish I could buy:cool::cool: Love the colour.

I think the lines of the coupe are SOOOOO much better than a convertable one.

Fuel is the least of your worries! They are very economical for the performance. Mine does 35mpg on a steady run on the motorway and about 26mpg the rest of the time. My 300zx over the same type of driving returned about 22 on the motorway and 13-15 lol...

Servicing intervals are quite long on the E46, as long as its warmed up properly etc, so they arnt so bad BUT it can be quite expensive when the servicing comes around :)

to be honest im not that bothered aslong as i can enjoy my motoring. I will pay the money for it aslong as i get a very nice example! And servicing etc doesnt bother me always maintain my services.

You selling yours?lol.

Hehe mine is an E36 though, thought u were looking for an E46? I could be pursauded given the right offer lol...

The E36 is no where near as good as the E46, people will try and tell you they perform the same in a straight line (as long as its an evo, with a lower ration diff etc) but to be honest they don't. The E46 is streets ahead of the E36 in terms of looks, refinement and the driving feel. Not to say the E36 is a bad car, but the E46 is better in almost every way!

Bearings in oil pumps i think is something to watch out for on the E46 from memory, most have it done by BMW but there might be the odd one thats slipped through the net. I'll read up on that tho... lol
