silly hubby forgot to fill the car up with fuel, think he thought i was going to do it but if im not allowed to drive it how can i??

anyways.. he came in from work friday and the car was fine, started it to move it yesterday but it coughed and spluttered and didnt want to run.

just went and got some petrol and put it in, pump is making a noise but the car isnt starting at all and now the battery is starting to drain.

any ideas why it could be doing this?

i dont know im just guessing, he said the petrol light had come on so im assuming it was ruinning low

if the pump is making a noise then it has not pressurised which means theres not enough fuel in it...is it parked on an incline
