I bought a 90 SWB TT Auto a few weeks back shes now on the road but running a little rough so have changed the coilpack and injector plugs and now running a bit better went to do an ecu check and found its a mines ecu all badged up, how do i find out what mods are supposed to be running with it or what sort of difference its making to the car apart from eating fuel.

cheers Craig

Do you have an after market boost guage fitted?? If so what boost are you running.

You might be able to turn it up a tad :D

With that ECU it more likely to be for a stage 1 set up so induction filter, Exhaust +decat and a boost increase and

it should see you around 360~380hp mark :)

Cool! Well the car has all that plus an uprated FMIC, boost jets, thinks i better get me a boost controller and see what she can do that or a dyno run.

She is much quicker then my old zed thats for sure:dance:

Fit another chip IMO. You can never be sure how aggressive the map is on a Mines ECU...or any socketed ECU for that matter.

Genuine Mines ECU's are going to be Araldited in. I have a spare one that is just like that, no idea what spec it is though, although it is possible to download the map, interrogate it and make some guesses.

Hate to wee on your bonfire but make sure your insurer knows about it too.

I have a mines, and that's araldited in too, so ya can't remove it..... Not had her running right yet, fitting a new loom wednesday, so hopefully happy days then!!! :D
