you will also need to get the old auto torque converter spigot out of the end of the crank shaft, and replace it with a pilot bushing (around £5 from Nissan)

An autoTT turbo's are smaller internally and the camshaft is slightly different. The turbo's spool quicker which helps compensate for the autobox, they tend to have less BHP when stock as well around 260 - 280. Probably won't notice much of a difference though.

I'm running hybrid turbos on my manual at the moment, could these replace the

standard auto ones without causing problems ,also will I have ecu issues ?

Just wondering what changes I'll have to make and what further parts I'll need

to carry out the exchange. Thanks for help.

That's all you need to do mate (assuming your not fitting the auto box)

Your turbo's go straight on, nowt to do.

ECU on an auto is configured for the autobox, so nowt for you to do.

No further parts required, so nowt else to do.

As said only minor difference is the A/R on the tubs, which in your case don't matter and of course the cams, again it don't matter. If anything you may find the car a wee bit more torquey!

Al in all, wapp it straight in ;)

Yep, just tell them it's a manual engine circa 1990ish also if you manage to have a word with Jeff, think he has a knack of getting the old spigot off quite handy lol

Phone your closest Nissan dealer, well the one your going to visit for the part, they call it a "spigot bearing" but service manual calls it a pilot bearing, as long as you state the year and the model (turbo / non turbo) and that its for a manual, they might have to order it in like they did with mine, i only got mine last week at the lovely price of £4.95 (VAT included)

Also had the opportunity to have a oogle over a brand new 370Z GT ultimate they just had in, it was that new it still had all the protective plastic sheets over the bonnet / interior. :)

Just give him your part number mate as they are all the same and as it's going on an auto engine like :)

Sorry meant to add a couple of "may as wells" simply cos they are both very cheap to do now and will save a gearbox off job later on ;)

Rear crank seal approx 15 quid. Whilst the auto engine one may be okay now, it's right there in front of you before fitting the gearbox, may as well do it for peace of mind in the future.

Clutch thrust/throw out bearing approx 20 quid. Though you'll have one already, you would generally change this item when changing clutches or removing them. Sometimes they are prone to being noisey later on, so may as well do it while your there.

Mike Feeney usually stocks these items along with the pilot bushing.

Just tell him it's a TT auto engine for the crank seal and then the pilot and thrust bearing is for a manual. (obviously lol) Year is not important if your happy everything is all pre 96.

Did you sort that engine noise out or get to the bottom of it?

Hi mate ,as I'm absolutely stuffed financially,I'm going for a replacement as

I can't afford labour charges for diagnosis, then find out its a severe problem which will cost me further expense I can't afford. Then when up and running again and hopefully I can get on my feet again,I'll inspect and try to source

problems. When I do, I'll post and let everyone know my findings but at this time I'm skint.
