Need to sort out front pads and disks, and 2 rear tires then its off to the MOT station for a fail lol, naa hopefully a pass but i dont mind, least ill know what needs doing then.

But yeah, im well chuffed first engine change I've done, did everything on me own and loved every minute of it :D

Im curious though it sounds fine, no misfires or anything, but the idle is a bit erratic, it revs its self up to around 1200rpm then drops settles down to around 1000, but just seems like it wants to carry on revving its self up to 1200. not sure if its just the cables need to be adjusted or not.

Also need to get my self a new oil filter as the one on it, is dented to hell, but that can wait till its off the ramps and Axel stands. just want to change the gearbox oil, topped it up, but want to give it another clean lot once its ran for a bit.

Still need to get it down to my friends to get it on a 4 poster, and give it some new bolts on the exhaust system. as im also missing a triangle exhaust gasket from manifold to exhaust that needs to be put on.

it was also running with out the too vacuum pipe works connected properly (small rubber vacuum lines either side of the engine, ones the Carbon canister connections i know that, not sure what the other one is, as the stickers i was using to mark them with came off. but they go to a solenoid with colored dots on at the out bound area of the small pipes)

 great work matey  bet you are excited!

misses has had to hide the keys so i dont go getting any silly ideas about taking it for a spin lol. not that i will, dont want to damage it after I've just fixed it. want to make sure everything is good before i even attempt to drive it anywhere yet. i wont even drive it back into the garage until I've done what i said im going to do with the oil / oil filter and other fluids. no leaks anywhere though so that's a good sign.
