Thought it was quite smart to be honest.

Black wheels suck. I've driven one, they do handle well, but you have to really scream them to get the power out of them. They also look like a breadvan. I'd have an Astra Coupe Turbo over one of those even though the Astra doesn't handle as well as stock, but there's decent tuning potential with the X20LET.

hmmmmmm, yeah some of those are very nice i must agree, but i thought the honda engine would be alot stronger to be honest as ive heard very good reviews about them.

Im actually quite a big fan of black wheels.lol! Depends tho if the car has other touhes of black

Id rather buy the type r the now and come back to zeds in the future i think mate especially after that ordeal!

But anyways yes they seem like quite nice cars, ive been in one and its nice inside. Not a huge fan of FWD performance cars but aslong as its got some power to get me out of bed i would be happy and i think it looks nice

My mate has had his from new and only cost him in tyres and brakes, service. Like si said they feel a little under powered but mega fun bomb proof motor.

so what is it a case of waiting till like 4k revs to get some go from it? or is it quite strong in low gears etc?

Much tuning potential for higher BHP?

Just soemthign about the vauxhall that doesnt appeal to me tho, but i suppose if i found the right one i would like it.lol.

Have you ever heard a CTR with a big exhaust on them? They sound utterly horrific. Really nasty. If you're gonna get one, a stock one is best. There are loads and loads of chavved up ones about.

They sound 20x worse when you hear them racing around town. Horrible droany raspy things they are.

they al sound shit

i love the civic type r one of my fav cars i have driven loved the gearbox and the revs, my fav hot hatch

If you want a bomb proof hot hatch, yes they are excellent cars with excellent engines.

More reliable than a Zed, I'm sure. But then they are pushing out 'only' 200bhp and come from a different generation.

Agree with Si - they look like vans!

The Astra is a great car too - I had a 53reg GSI Turbo - remapped, exhaust & filter.

Rolling road tested at 250bhp/280Ib/ft

And it was bomb proof with it, would never hammer my Zed like I did the Astra.

The CTR is also a very hard ride & quite right you need to rev the nuts off it to make it quick. Torquey they are not.

hmmmmmmmmm puzzled on what to go for then.

My list involves the;

Rx-8 PZ

Bmw M3

6 series bmw

Honda civic type r

Seat Leon cupra r

350z

Not in that order number one for me would be the m3 tho.

Was thinking today..........get myself a nice car now and then search for and get my own 300zx imported from japan.

In those videos it does not sound like a beefy motor atall if you know what i mean.....where as the 300 sounds powerful through the exhausts.

It's a 4 cylinder NA! Not many 4 cylinders sound good. About the last of the decent sounding 8vs was the old Cavalier SRi/Astra GTE 2.0 8v engines. Sounded infinitely better than the 16v.

Newer style 4 cylinders sound so raspy. Turbos take away a little bit of that and refine out the exhaust note (which is why TTZ32s sound much nicer and more refined than NAZ32). Saying that, Evos don't exactly sound nice do they.

Good car the Leon and under rated. They haven't quite got into the hands of the chavs yet. Their easy option is to just head for the CTR.

...and they look better than the CTR. Better build quality too. Interior plastics on the CTR aren't great, nor is the actual appearance of the interior.

Buy mine, LOL

Craig-have you won the lottery? I would get the Cupra!

No mate just have a good job.lol!

I do like the cupra.......think there can be some nice tuning potential there.

Always keep thinking on something more expensive tho a flashier.lol.

SO that would be the M3, 6 series or 350z or possibly the rx-8 PZ.

Insurance on one of those for me is probably double the zed and near the price an m3 would cost me.lol!

Very nice cars tho. Might have a look for one.

what about an integra type r?

started browsing there at them and can pick some up cheap i would say from 3.5k to 5.5k.

Think i will have a more detailed search later at them.

Slight update car wise.....not going to go for an m3 or 6 series i dont think. Think i will be going to go for something like the mini/type r/integra/cupra r/rx-8 that is nice...powerful, i cant still get my golf clubs in it and it will pull me out of bed.

Any helpful suggestion and links would be appreciate.
